Balaramapuram Grama Panchayat is actively participating in 'Operation Toofan 2.0'. Special 'Toofan' task forces have been convened, and robust vigilance committees have been formed across all wards of the panchayat.
As part of the 'Operation Toofan 2.0' initiative, year-long anti-drug public awareness activities are being implemented in Balaramapuram Grama Panchayat.

- Mental support and vocational training will be provided with the cooperation of Kudumbashree and the Haritha Karma Sena.
- The functioning of de-addiction centers will be made more efficient.
- Special 'Toofan Care Centers' will operate within rehabilitation centers.
